We needed some work done on our house and we saw Roy working at another house in our village and were very impressed with what he had done. We were so glad we did, as the work on our house has been done to a very high standard. Some of our neighbours have also mentioned how good it looks. We wouldn’t hesitate to use him again and would definitely recommend him to others.

We have been delighted with Decorating & Restoration Service in the decoration of our home. We received thorough, expert and an adaptable service. The work was carefully planned, scheduled and expertly carried out to our agreed time limits. Mr. Stoneman is a respectable and adaptable craftsman, broadly trained and with a wide and reliable practice in decoration. We will be using his services again whenever he is available.

Decorating & Restoration Service has done a lot of excellent work over the past few years on our large Edwardian house. Roy has solved numerous problems that have stumped other people, including water ingress around gables, windows and doors, and tricky restoration tasks. He has always been keen to restore, preserving the character of the house, while using the latest high quality materials and techniques. I’ve been impressed by Roy’s willingness to discuss options and explain different possible approaches, and with the excellence of the decoration finish he produces. I have no hesitation in recommending him and the company.

I was impressed the pride that he took in his work…

The oak windows in the house built in 1845 are still original but were seriously rotten. I researched and came up with a company called Decorating & Restoration Service who has qualified contractors and Certificated for the use of The Repair Care System. I was impressed with the work rate of Roy and also the pride that he took in his work. When he got into the job the decay in some of the windows were much worse than appeared but nothing fazed him and with a combination of new wood, resin and putty the specialist system gave an amazing end result.

Decorating & Restoration Service was very competent and reliable and did an excellent job on painting the exterior of our house which included some areas that were very difficult to access. Good attention to detail, Roy removed all gutters and downpipes before starting the work.

The quality of his work was of the highest order…

We were seeking some help to paint our new home (internal walls/ceilings) and came across Roy’s website following a quick Google search. Having made initial contact, immediately we heard back and Roy was willing to come over and price up the works over a weekend which was extremely helpful.

From start to finish Roy was efficient, courteous and, most importantly of all, the quality of his work was of the highest order. My wife and I were extremely impressed and delighted with the decorating, which has really helped to lift our home.

Roy’s keen eye and excellence through detail was evident on every wall and in every piece of cutting in. He was a pleasure to deal with and has a good sense of humour too!
